R J Reynolds Tobacco Company - New newport package and tatse change.
I have read some reviews and would like to answer your questions if possible. I am a making operator at the T-ville plant where they are being produced.
So I can tell you from first hand experience what has changed. Yes, The packaging was changed to hopefully be more eye catching and garner a better placement in stores. No. The ingredients for flavoring have not changed.
As a matter of fact Reynolds purchased multiple pieces of equipment and did countless hours of research with Lorilards R&D department to make sure the process stayed the same. The only thing I can think that may change the flavor is possibly how the cigarettes are being stored and how long they have been on the shelf. I myself have smoked various brands but Newport was always my favorite menthol. I have not noticed any difference in taste or function from then to now.
We do recycle our cigarettes but only the ones that are rejected from the machine. The tobacco that hits the floor or may be contaminated in any way is properly disposed of at the landfill.
We are held to strict manufacturing processes by the FDA. So that what we produce is a high quality tobacco product.

The new packaging looks different and there is a video out saying that they are shipped from over seas and are not the same as the originals. The labeling is different.
Not good.
I need to stop anyway. I'm stopping.
Your company is not using the same process as the old company to make new Newport. THEY STINKS!
